Columbia Machine Works' updated robotic welding capabilities expand upon an already extensive list of precision welding services. The newly updated Columbia Machine Works website, located at www.columbiamachineworks.com, highlights robotic welding benefits such as lower customer quotes and unmatched repeatability.
Robotic welding provides a significant cost savings over manual welding when performing repetitive welds. Simple tasks can be fully automated, allowing 24/7 rapid production with ±0.1mm repeatability.
The new Columbia Machine Works robot features a six-axis articulating arm to provide the greatest range of motion available with current robotic welding technology. Unlike rectilinear robot welders, articulating welders can access welding areas that are difficult or impossible to reach by conventional welding.
As one of the first welding & machine shops in Middle Tennessee, Columbia Machine Works has a history of investing in the latest welding technology. In 1929, Columbia Machine Works purchased the first 300 amp Lincoln portable electric welder in Maury County. Today, the Lincoln welder rests in the robotic welding portion of Columbia Machine Works' 65,000 sq ft facility.
